KNOWING HOW TO BECOME

Knowing how to become. This is a faculty which we all possess, perhaps more than we dare acknowledge. Engulfed by the deluge of changes in progress, we have forgotten what we have previously accomplished and assimilated. Let us take a look, for example, at what we have become in such a short space of time.

Information insinuates every instant of our daily lives. Travellers in the wild and sports fishermen are equipped with GPS[i], students surf the Internet, lorry-drivers are linked to their firms via satellite. Using these tools to the best advantage is a strategy adopted by craftsmen who make violins as much as by international oil companies. Every day, there are more and more of us who work over long distances, serving our customers in the four corners of the world, teaming up with other nationalities, speaking other languages.
